BICYCLING in RIVERSIDE

The Tour de Riverside is a Bicycle Rally and Community Service Project organized by the six Rotary Clubs in Riverside. The Tour de Riverside is designed for cyclists of varying levels of skill and endurance from novice to adventurous. It offers venues for road and mountain bikes including serene Fairmount Park, stately Victoria Avenue, the rustic Santa Ana River Trail, and the iconic Mt. Rubidoux.

Our goal is to promote the safe use of “Bicycles for Transportation” in the City of Riverside. In addition to this Rally, we support and encourage safe bicycling activities organized by local PTAs and other Riverside groups such as the Safe Routes to Schools (SR2S - programs organized by the Riverside Police Department and the County of Riverside Department of Public Health).

The goals of the Tour de Riverside are: 1) To encourage the use of bicycles as a safe and viable mode of transportation; 2) To enable cyclists to learn about the bicycle trails in Riverside; 3) To raise awareness of environmental issues that are alleviated by bicycling (traffic congestion, pollution, etc); and, 4) To inform people about Rotary International and the service projects carried out by Riverside's 5 Rotary Clubs.
