Club Service
Mark McKell, Director
Club service includes setting up meeting rooms with service banners, member name badges and preparing the reception area. Those performing the service also check-in members and guests at each meeting.
Classification: Membership in Rotary is determined by a number of criteria, including classifications of business (i.e. doctor, lawyer, advertising, Stock Broker)
Club Bulletin: Published weekly to update members of upcoming activities, social events, district news and weekly speakers.
Membership Development: It is the responsibility of each Rotarian to help recruit new members into the club. A successful club is one that is constantly growing to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
Program Committee: Rotary has a program at each of its weekly meetings. The Program Committee is composed of Rotary members who bring speakers to each meeting.
Rotary Information: This is a process to educate new Rotarians about Rotary.
Social Activities: Social activities are important to any organization. We have gatherings at least four times per year for Rotarians and spouses.
Community Service

Senior Lecture Series: A series of lectures for seniors with topics such as: health insurance,health care directives,and interactions of various medications,food, and alcohol.
Donation Review: Each Rotary member is expected to contribute financially to the club foundation that funds community projects and International programs.
Special Projects: Bryant Elementary School is the school in Riverside that our club has adopted to support. Our support comes in the form of donating books to the school and a reading program held once a month called "Breakfast and a Book". Rotarians read to students in grades K-3. Parents of the students also participate in the program.
R.Y.L.A.-Rotary Youth Leadership Awards: A program to provide leadership development of high school students within each Rotary District. The program takes place in the San Bernardino mountains at a camp that provides lodging for these students and Rotarians, who provide a leadership program for High School juniors. The program is held over a weekend, usually in February or March.
Interact: Interact is a high school based Rotary club. Riverside Rotary sponsors an Interact Club at Poly High in Riverside. The club meets weekly during the school year and plans community activities including trips to Tijuana Orphanages and local convalescent hospital visits.
Public Relations: It is important for Rotary's good deeds to be communicated to the public. News releases are provided to local media on the activities of Riverside Rotary and on Rotary International projects.
Vocational Service

Career Day: Career Day is an opportunity for Rotarians to invite Interact students to their place of employment. Students spend the morning with a Rotarian that has a specific profession that the students want to learn more about.
Four-Way Speech Contest: The "Four-Way Test" was adopted by Rotary to express the ways we practice our business and interactions with the community.

Scholarship: The Rotary Club of Riverside provides scholarships to local high school students in their senior year who are seeking higher education they also provide scholarships to students from Riverside Community College who are transferring to a four year institution.
International Service

Mexico Project: The Rotary Club of Riverside supports an orphanage in Tijuana. This support includes donations of money to construct facilities and an annual Christmas visit, complete with Santa, gifts and donated clothing.
Rotary Foundation: The foundation provides a basis for the club to get matching funds from Rotary International to support local and International projects. Rotary fundraisers and individual contributions support the foundation
India Project: The Rotary Club of Riverside supports several projects throughout India that benefit the hearing impaired, neonatal support and rural family enhancement.
Youth Service

Projects include Bryant School Literacy Program, Tutoring for Alcott Elementary students, RYLA, Interact and Breakfast and a Book; an elementary school reading program.
